Dan from The Diamond Minecart demonstrates the Mining Helmet mod, which is your surefire way to mine in the dark, without having to worry about torches. Craft this useful item and you'll be ready to go, but it doesn't help against Endermen.. as shown in the video :P

In this Mod Showcase video, DanTDM reviews the Mining Helmet mod which features a mining helmet that was a surefire way to mine in dark caves without the use of torches. But, the mining helmet doesn't work against Endermen.
