this took me 5 hours.. not joking..
Synopsis
Dan starts by going to the Realm's Ravine and explains that he collected some resources and ores and found a vein of 4 diamonds. He says that he extended it by digging to Bedrock underneath his house, using strip/branch mining. He brags about his luck for a short while, and reveals his plan for the Traphouse.
Since he didn't have sticky pistons, Dan decides to scrap the Traphouse and focus on the Cloud Castle Instead. He sees that it is nighttime and hears something, causing him to run back to his house, describing it as a 'little shack'.
He checks for Husks and sees one with a shovel. He spots Farmer Joe and the Questmaster (before he arrived in the new hardcore series) chatting and calls them weirdos. A husk attacks a village but is slain. He farms the Sugarcane Strip and steals a stonecutter, placing it at the foot of his bed. He smelts his cobblestone, turning it into stone and uses the stonecutter, turning the stone into stone bricks for the Cloud Castle. He crafts a diamond sword and forges a plan.
He tries to find a campfire recipe but fails as he didn't look in the crafting table menu only his 2x2 one. He makes 4 campfires and starts making the campfire bridge. He gets into an argument with Minecraft physics and eventually just decides to dump water on the campfire, unlighting it. He then decides a place for the Cloud Castle. After an hour, he finally completes the Campfire Bridge.
He sees a Wandering Trader and mocks him for his bad trades. He places lanterns on the four posts of the Campfire Bridge. He starts to build the main house. He leaves terraforming for later and grabs a few cacti for the traps of the Cloud Castle. He deletes the local cactus population by collecting them all. He chisels a few stone bricks and begins to build. One hour later, he was finished the castle with 3 seperate floors.
He adds a ladder to the third floor, but quickly says he wants to build a spiral staircase. He makes an infinite water source to try and fix his dirt elevator. He realises he needs to get obsidian to go to the Nether to get soul sand for the water elevator. So he goes back into the Realm Ravine to find a lava pocket source block for obsidian. He takes the right Extension Staircase, Third Strip Mine and searches the columns to find a lava pocket source block, which he does eventually find.
Dan eventually gets 14 obsidian. He builds the portal in the sand dune to the right of the future Cow Pen. He then lights it and enters. Dan thanks the Nether for not spawning him anywhere dangerous, but soon eats his own words as a lava column almost drops on his head.
However, he patches it up very quick. He goes upwards and finds a glowstone pocket and finds a soul sand shore relatively quick. He gets stuck on a ledge but eventually gets down via staircasing through the netherrack. He digs up the soul sand and grabs a stack. He finds a magma block deposit and grabs a stack. A pigman comes through Dan's portal and Dan digs out sand from behind the portal to not suffocate.
He digs out the area of soul sand under the castle and fills it with soul sand only to find the stream of water won't work. He picks one block of soul sand to be the one for the elevator. And then he starts to make his elevator. He makes his elevator all source blocks and surrounds it with glass making one half of the elevator. He discusses how he did it (with source blocks) and that he didn't make it high enough so he has to carve out the hill, but he doesn't want to do it manually.
So, instead, he goes to the desert temple riding on Buddy and gets the TNT and heads back to blow out the hill (all while filling out more of his map of the Realm). He starts to blow out the stone but he realizes TNT is really bad on stone. He instead does it on dirt to 'at least save time and an iron shovel'. He puts the first 4 workers(sheep) of the Cloud Factory down deep holes and he witnesses a squid die.
