The DanTDM Wiki has a set of rules that needs to be followed carefully. Please respect these rules and treat them so that way the DanTDM Wiki will have a nice environment of other users who also wants to engage with the community. Following these rules is a serious matter. So please read through the rules and keep them in mind whenever you come across the DanTDM Wiki. The rules are categorized in 4 sections: General, Content, Discussions, and Categories.
General
Behavior
1. Be civil.
It is important to stay civil and keep conversations on topic or anything related to DanTDM. Be civil in discussions by not starting any agruments and cause an argument. It doesn't matter who started the argument as long the two users stop their argument and respectfully move on and not try to continue to argue or bother with the user anywhere else.
Fail to abide this rule will be resulted in a warning.
2. Do not create any NSFW messages.
NSFW (or simply known as Not Safe For Work) is content that is associated around like nudity, sexuality, or anything that deems inappropriate.
Fail to abide this rule will be resulted in a warning.
3. Don't be harrassive towards others.
Being a harassment is a type of behavior towards other users and it means people will try and be overly aggressive and trying to insult and intimidate them.
Fail to abide this rule will be resulted in an instant block.
4. Don't engage with biogtry or hate speech.
Hate speech briefly means abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses prejudice on basis of ethncity, religion, sexual orientation, or similar grounds. So that's like using the word "gay" to other people as in insult.
Fail to abide this rule will be resulted in a warning, but if it gets too severe, then it will be most likely a permanent ban.
5. Don't troll or engage with trolling.
Trolling happens if a user starts to engage and troll in a inflammatory or in a obnoxious manner in purpose to provoking other users.
6. Don't impersonate DanTDM or any other content creators or users.
Impersonation is a common problem for YouTubers who has a big profile. Many YouTubers who has a big profile can be impersonated. Same goes for users.
Fail to abide this rule will be resulted in an instant block.
8. Do not say slurs.
Any type of slur words will be monitored such as: the N****r, F****T, and many other variations.
Failure to abide this rule will be resulted in a permanent ban.
9. Do not say death threats or anything that involves threatening words to other individuals including animals, or disrespecting or ridiculing one's death.
This means that a user wished upon someone's or an animal's death.
Failure to abide by this rule will be resulted in an instant block.
Content
This section will include contents and specific rules when it comes to editing on the DanTDM Wiki.
Pages
1. Use correct infoboxes.
Infoboxes can be used on a page whether if it's a video or a character or even a youtuber. If you are making a page of a new DanTDM video, make sure to use the "Video" infobox. Don't use the "YouTube Video" infobox. And if you are making a page of a YouTuber, use the "YouTuber" infobox. Or if it's a minor character, then use the default "Character" infobox.
Fail to abide this rule will be resulted in a warning.
2. Don't insert NSFW into pages.
NSFW (or simply known as Not Safe For Work) is content that is associated around like nudity, sexuality, or anything that deems inappropriate.
Fail to abide this rule will result in a block, the length of the block depends on the severity.
3. All pages must be written in English.
If pages aren't in English, they will be removed immediately.
Fail to abide this rule will be resulted in a warning.
4. Pages must include proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.
All pages that are created must include some proper grammar, punction and spelling. With this, people could understand and read every page easily. For some reference, read the Punctuation Guide.
Fail to abide the rule after being notified about this once will be resulted in a warning.
5. Don't vandalize or create spam/unecessary pages.
Vandalizing is when a user adds unneeded information or changing everything in a page. Spam pages includes random language and gibberish nonsense that is not related to DanTDM or the DanTDM Wiki itself. Spam also means that a user is repetitively doing the same thing (but for this, it's pages.) Unecessary pages are pages that isn't needed or needs to be added and it will be deleted.
Fail to abide this rule will be resulted in a instant block.
6. Do not edit farm.
Edit farming is when a user repeatedly edits the same thing in a way to gain edits.
Failure to abide to this rule be a warning.
Discussions
This list will cover all rules for the Discussions.
1. Do not necropost in the discussions.
Necroposting is when a user replies to an old post that is over 2 weeks old or more.
Fail to abide after being notified about this once will be resulted in a warning.
2. Do not spam discussion posts.
Spamming the discussions is when user repeatedly makes a new post.
Fail to abide by this rule after being notified about this once will be resulted in a warning.
3. Do not post/create off-topic posts in discussions. This includes replies also.
Creating posts that aren't related to DanTDM.
Fail to abide by this rule after being notified will be resulted in a warning.
Categories
This list will include rules of adding appropriate categories within the articles of the DanTDM Wiki.
1. Don't spam categories.
Spamming categories is when a user repeatedly adds random nonsense and spammy categories to pages.
Fail to abide this rule will be resulted in a warning.
Unrelated categories means that when a user adds an unrelated category to pages that are not related to the DanTDM Wiki. This also goes for userpages and content pages.
Fail to abide this rule will be resulted in a warning.
3. Add specific categories for video pages, including all pages.
Specific categories means that you got to add the right category into that page. This makes it easy for the categories to be well-organized and not over the place.
4. Don't add deleted categories to pages.
Deleted categories are self-explanatory. Categories are only deleted if they don't seem necessary. Please make sure to not put deleted categories into pages if they are deleted since they are pretty much useless.
Fail to abide this rule after being notified once, will be resulted in a warning.
