On April 9, 2019, Dan uploaded a video called "I Have An ANNOUNCEMENT!", where Dan announced that he will go on tour again. It was held in 4 arenas in the UK in specific places like Wembley, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasglow. This tour was depicted on an "Interactive Experience" which was also connected by an app called "DanTDM - The Contest". All the shows were ongoing and held between June and July of 2019.

On May 19, 2019, Dan uploaded a trailer of The Contest on his channel which showcases of what the show wil be about. Only 3 tribes were in The Contest called the "Talonian, Arktikan, Arborean" tribes.
On June 23, 2019, Dan uploaded a video called "i vlogged something.." where Dan made a vlog where he talks about where his show where will be located at and gave a quick tour around the place where his new live show will take place.
On September 28, 2019, Dan announced on Twitter that he couldn't continue the tour so he is bringing it to cinemas worldwide instead which dates on the 2nd and the 3rd of November[1]. He also uploaded a video called "I'm Releasing A MOVIE!" on that day as well.
On October 21, 2019, Dan made a video called "THE CONTEST App is NOW LIVE!" which he explains how the "DanTDM - The Contest" app works. The app was only used for the interactive experience of the show.
On July 11, 2020, Dan uploaded a video called "DanTDM Presents: The Contest (Full Show)". to celebrate the One-Year Anniversary of his show "The Contest" on his YouTube channel.
