DanTDM (channel)

Not to be confused with Daniel Middleton, who's known online as DanTDM.

DanTDM is the personal YouTube channel of Daniel Middleton since July 14, 2012. The channel mainly focuses on gaming but also does vlogging and other types of content. DanTDM previously held the title of most subscribed channel in the united kingdom.

History

The Diamond Dimensions, channel growth and vlogging (2013–2014)

On April 20, 2013, DanTDM began the modded Minecraft survival series The Diamond Dimensions, which became one of the channel's most well-known series. The series played a major role in the growth of the channel. Dan could also be found vlogging during this time.

Creation (2012-2013)

Near its creation, the DanTDM channel focused only on the sandbox video game Minecraft, and mainly did mod reviews and showcases, a let's play of a Pokémon-styled mod of the game, Pokemobs, and snapshot previews.

Expansion beyond Minecraft

As the channel continued to grow, DanTDM expanded into Roblox videos, reaction content, livestreams, and real-life event coverage. The rebranding from TheDiamondMinecart to DanTDM helped shift the focus from a Minecraft-only identity into a broader personal creator brand.
