He chose a cow from his cow farm, which he nicknamed Number 1 because it was the first animal acquired. He then later shoots Number 1 for the advancement, but due to the having too much health, died without Dan getting the advancement. | ||

Despite the fact that Dan has yet to die in his Minecraft Hardcore series, many of his characters, pets, and enemies have died.
Major Deaths
Prisoner
For Dan to get the "How Did We Get Here?" advancement, he needed to do a raid for Hero of the Village, he does this in his base, but because his illager prisoner automatically joined the raid (according to the official rules), he needed to be killed to finish the raid.
Skinny
During the same raid that killed his illager prisoner, Dan was attacked by vexes from an evoker. He was knocked down from his castle by one and attempted to shoot it, however, he missed and hit Skinny instead, killing Skinny.
