On July 16, 2022, Dr. Trayaurus makes a surprise comeback in the video [[This Minecraft Villager Has 10 BILLION Views!|This Minecraft Villager has 10 BILLION Views.]] Dan reveals that the character, ever since he was created, had received 10 billion views. As Dan continues to bring Trayaurus back every time he dies in his early appearances, this made many people love the villager character. Since he owed a lot to Trayaurus, Dan reveals that he had commissioned someone to have him remade so that he and Trayaurus may continue to mess around with more custom mods. Of the dialogue that appeared whenever the latter would talk, Dan reveals that he had translated Trayaurus' mumblings so that people may understand him, but as he was remade he would now give a random response when interacted with.

Unlike his previous appearances in Minecraft in which he is shown to mostly follow Dan while on adventures and would usually not stare a lot, he now acts more on his accord, not following Dan a lot and scarcely speaking. According to Dan, this is because his brain has evolved past the need to do those aforementioned traits. In addition, Trayaurus would now stand still and now stare a lot at times. Furthermore, his personality has changed as he became more grumpier in nature.

On 31st August, 2024, he makes yet another return on Dan's brand new channel, [[Dan & Tray]] as a regular character. He has so far appeared in three consecutive episodes.
